A podcast is a feed that is produced by a "podcaster" and is available on-demand from the web.


Podcast is derived from iPod and Broadcast. They can be wither audio or video feeds and there are different formats available
for production on either Macs or PCs. On a Mac you can use Garageband or iMovie, while on PC's the most common software is Audacity, Photostory3 or MovieMaker.

Listeners can either download their podcasts to a portable audio device (e.g. mP3 player) or download and play on their computers.
